What To Expect From An Upscale Restaurant Manhattan

By Flora Vinson

If you want to experience fantastic dining facilities, then visit an upscale restaurant Manhattan. What makes these places so special other than the superb food, is the excellent service offered and the delightful ambiance. A meal here is expensive, but is top class and worth it for an extra special experience.

The Menu is probably the most important part of this dining experience. The menu may not be large but it will be select and be frequently changed, this means the chef can buy in season produce when it is at its best and tastiest. Seafood and steaks are bound to be on the menu, and served with special sauces and prime quality vegetables.

In upscale establishments, service should be second to none. As well as being polite, waiters must have full knowledge of the menu. They should be able to answer any questions regarding the food as well as be able to make recommendations.

Table cloths and napkins should be in pristine condition and any soiled napkins can be expected to be replaced during the meal. All staff should be tidy and suitably dressed, especially those working in the front of the restaurant. It is not uncommon for a reservation to be made in order to dine at such a restaurant, and is advisable that you make your reservation a few days in advance, as these establishments are normally fully books and are not able to accommodate any walk-ins.

Atmosphere is important, and the scene is dependent on the owner; it might be modern, with bright bold colors for table linen and modern stylish furniture. It might be traditional, with candelabras, floral decorations and bright white table linen. Gleaming cutlery should sit beside fine china and glassware.

The bar shelves will stock a wide range of quality wines and liquors. A smart dress code is expected of patrons at an Upscale Restaurant Manhattan. It may be wise to find out the exact dress code, as male patrons may be upstaged by a tuxedo wearing waiter!
